The peonies we use this time of year are grown outdoors in the Var, in the heart of Provence — a region known for its Mediterranean climate, mineral-rich soils, and a long tradition of peony cultivation. Reine Hortense is a classic herbaceous peony prized for its large, double-layered blooms in soft pink with delicate crimson veining and a subtle, sweet fragrance.
